
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 23, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- IFMC, a leading provider of solutions that help deliver better, cost effective health care, has named Jeff Chungath as its chief executive officer. He had been serving as interim CEO since April.
Chungath brings more than 17 years of professional experience in health care, health informatics and technology to his new role, including the last six years at IFMC. Chungath's leadership has been instrumental in the development of proven Medicaid management solutions for states; health care improvement techniques and tools for physicians, such as the EHR-compatible and PQRI-certified disease registry CareMeasures; predictive modeling and targeted care management and disease management for employees and dependents of self-insured employers, unions and municipalities; and health care quality measures development, analysis, data warehousing and public reporting for federal and state governments.

Chungath holds a degree in biomedical engineering from Bombay University, a master's degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Iowa and a master's degree in information technology from Creighton University.
