SFMOMA is about to complete a major building expansion designed by international architecture firm SnØhetta that triples the museum's gallery space and is scheduled to open on May 14, 2016. "We are thrilled to have illy onboard and grateful for their support. We look forward to many years of partnership to help bring exciting programming to members of our Curators' Circle," said SFMOMA Helen and Charles Schwab Director Neal Benezra.
Curators' Circle members engage with SFMOMA curators, conservators, and other museum specialists through behind-the-scenes tours, events, and compelling learning opportunities. A recent Curators' Circle event welcomed the artist Ed Ruscha in conversation with Benezra.
Since 1992, more than 70 contemporary artists have collaborated on the illy Art Collection coffee cups collection, including Michelangelo Pistoletto, Jeff Koons, Marina Abramović and Louise Bourgeois.
