The keynote speakers are global healthcare leaders in the field of medicine and hand hygiene. The speakers are:

Emily Landon, MD, assistant professor of medicine, specializing in infectious diseases and global health, at the University of Chicago
Michael Gardam, MSc, MD, CM, MSc, FRPC, director of infection prevention and control at the University Health Network, and assistant professor of medicine at the University of Toronto

Both speakers will share perspective and innovative strategies that address both hand hygiene compliance measurement and ways to improve and sustain compliance. Dr. Landon will discuss her experiences with utilizing and gaining acceptance for the use of hand hygiene technology. She will also detail the pros and cons of the different types of systems and provide insights into how you can successfully implement a hand hygiene monitoring system with the engagement of your staff and leadership. Dr. Gardam will present his approach to improving hand hygiene compliance in a healthcare setting and how he engages staff to own hand hygiene compliance and determine ways to improve overall compliance rates. Jim Arbogast, Ph.D., GOJO vice president of hygiene sciences and public health advancements, will serve as the moderator for this panel discussion.
