Herrema, Vice Chair of the Board of Managers of Independent Group and Chair of the Investment Committee of Independent Life Insurance Company ("Independent Life"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Independent Group, has been appointed as interim Chief Executive Officer of Independent Group. Mr. Herrema, who has more than 35 years of senior leadership experience in investment and wealth management, banking, mutual funds and insurance companies, including serving as CEO of several companies, succeeds Michael A.
