Indonesia to Host the Largest Ever Furniture Exhibition

HONG KONG, Feb. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The exhibition will completely fill all the seven halls of the Jakarta International Expo venue, with additional exhibit space and themed pavilions being accommodated in three temporary structures. A total of 700 companies will exhibit in the exhibition. Exhibits cover the entire range of furniture, furnishings and furniture materials, with a particular focus on natural materials, craftsmanship and traditional designs.

IFEX is organised by UBM Asia's Indonesian subsidiary, PT Pameran Niaga Indonesia and is hosted by the Indonesia Furniture Association, AMKRI. Mr. Christopher Eve, Senior Vice President of UBM Asia Ltd, comments, "Indonesia's strong economic growth, vast population and enormous furniture industry make it a very exciting market for both buyers and sellers of furniture, fittings and equipment. IFEX 2014 is expected to attract more than 5,000 international buyers from 110 countries around the world. Mr. Soenoto, Chairman of the Indonesia Furniture Association, remarked, "International buyers will find a rich diversity of modern and traditional designs from Indonesian furniture manufacturers. In particular, our use of natural materials from renewable sources of wood, rattan and bamboo will meet the needs of even the most discerning consumers."
