Infigen Signs Power Purchase Agreements with Southern California Edison for 40 MW
DALLAS and AUSTIN, Texas, April 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Infigen Energy (Infigen) today announced that its affiliate, Infigen Energy US Development LLC, has entered into two 20 year Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Southern California Edison to supply electricity from its Wildwood Solar I (Wildwood) and Pumpjack Solar I (Pumpjack) projects. Each project will have a nameplate capacity of 20 MWac and supply enough electricity annually to meet the needs of approximately 5,000 single-family homes.
Wildwood and Pumpjack are part of a joint development arrangement between Infigen and Pioneer Green Solar II, LLC (Pioneer), where Infigen is the managing member.
Both projects are located on previously disturbed lands in unincorporated Kern County and are well advanced in the development cycle. They have each obtained conditional use permits from the Kern County Planning Commission through unanimous approval and are in the process of executing interconnection agreements with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and the California ISO.
Both projects are expected to be ready for construction in 2014.
