Innovating Firearms Retail: AXIS Point of Sale Automates Inventory Orders From 14 Distributors

Working conjointly with functionality provided by sister company Gearfire, the AXIS integrated Auto-Order™ module becomes the first and only gun store point-of-sale software that simultaneously accesses multiple wholesaler inventory feeds to automatically monitor and maintain optimal inventory stock levels.

As on-hand quantities fall below minimum quantity thresholds, the AXIS Auto-Order™ application automatically generates a purchase order for the replacement inventory. An industry first, the retailer is given the power of choice to create a vendor preference hierarchy from the 14 – and growing – listed participating wholesalers, including the largest and most predominant distributors in the industry, to be followed as the system-generated purchase order is systematically submitted to distributors until the order is able to be fulfilled. Upon receipt, the corresponding distributor submits an acknowledgment back to the AXIS Auto-Order™ application, which is used to receive the shipment when it arrives at the retailer's store. 

Additionally, the AXIS Auto-Order™ application can access and import every participating vendor's entire electronic product catalog into the AXIS RMS item file, including each vendor's unique part numbers and item costs.
