Insight School of Colorado Gives Students the Foundation for a Career

WESTMINSTER, Colo., Aug. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For students enrolled in Insight School of Colorado (ISCO), a public online school serving students in grades 6-12, going back to school on August 31st might mean settling down at the computer in the kitchen or living room rather than figuring out a bus route or organizing their locker. But for many of these students, school will also be a chance to earn credits that might help them land a job more quickly.

"There is increased demand for career classes, particularly for those students who are considering what careers and occupations are out there that may be of interest," said Amy Valentine, Head of Insight School of Colorado. A program of Julesburg School District, ISCO gives students the opportunity to learn both core subject areas and electives from state-certified, highly qualified teachers using the award-winning curriculum and tools provided by K¹².  The school also offers classes that introduce students to business and health care fields. ISCO students can choose from courses such as Accounting, Entrepreneurship or Anatomy classes that will help them earn ready-to-work credentials and specialized diploma endorsements that will give them a strong start as they enter the job market. As an accredited and tuition-free school, Insight School of Colorado is available to students from across the state at no cost and graduates receive a high-school diploma.

ISCO is still accepting students in grades 6-12 for this fall.  Interested families are invited to attend online information sessions or one of the many in-person events being held in their community throughout the month.
