Inspired Capital Closes $450M Fund IV focused on early-stage investments, has exceptionally strong track record of backing 10 unicorns, and launches its revenue platform focused on helping founders outperform
Seven years of close founder partnerships have produced 10 unicorns, 10 companies above $100M in annual revenue, four above $400M, and more than 10 exits, including an IPO, setting the stage for an even more ambitious next chapter for Inspired.
NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Inspired Capital today announced the close of its $450 million Fund IV, bringing total committed capital to more than $1.3 billion and fueling its ambition to back the next generation of world-changing companies. Seven years after its founding, the firm is building on a track record of category-defining companies and will continue leading Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A investments in founders tackling the world's most consequential challenges.
Founded in New York in 2019 by Alexa von Tobel and Penny Pritzker, Inspired is an established early-stage firm investing in technology-driven companies across sectors, including AI infrastructure, healthcare, defense, fintech, robotics, and consumer. The investment partnership is composed of Alexa von Tobel, Mark Batsiyan, Charlotte Ross, Kamran Ali, and Chris Brown.
Inspired's conviction in exceptional founders has translated into a portfolio of companies reshaping industries and reaching significant scale. 10 Inspired investments have reached valuations of $1 billion or more. Ten companies have surpassed $100 million in annual revenue, and four have surpassed $400M in revenue. The firm has also had more than 10 exits, including Teamshares' listing on Nasdaq, MosaicML's acquisition by Databricks, and Deeptune's acquisition by Mercor.
"Inspired was built on the belief that the world's most ambitious founders will fundamentally change how we live and work for the better," said Alexa von Tobel, Founder and Managing Partner of Inspired Capital. "Seven years in, we've seen what's possible when bold ideas meet relentless execution. We've helped companies grow from their earliest days to hundreds of millions in revenue, and our ambition as a firm has only grown as we launch our revenue practice, helping our companies scale even faster."
Inspired's conviction-driven approach has positioned the firm at the forefront of emerging industries, backing visionary founders and transformative ideas long before the broader market recognizes their potential. For example:
- Inspired led the seed round for autonomous defense company Allen Control Systems, which has since reached a $2.2 billion valuation.
- The firm led the Series A for ShopMy, which has quickly become the market leader in curated commerce infrastructure and was most recently valued at $1.5 billion
- Inspired led the Series A for Stand, which has underwritten more than $10 billion in insured property value and is now valued at $1 billion.
- Inspired led the seed extension for Dandy, an AI-powered dental lab, in 2020. The business scaled to over $100 million in revenue within its first two years, and over 2 million people already have a Dandy product in their mouth.
- The firm was also the first institutional investor in Logiqal, a quantum computing company founded by a leading Princeton professor.
- Inspired invested in AI music platform Suno's seed round in 2023, and the company is now valued at $5.4 billion.
- The firm led the seed round for Rho, a business banking platform that helps finance leaders run leaner.
- Inspired co-led the Series A for BrightAI, which transforms physical operations into continuously observable intelligent systems.
- Inspired led the Series A for Solace, an advocacy platform covered by insurance that helps patients navigate the healthcare system. They have since announced a $1B valuation.
Jeremy Gurewitz, Solace CEO and Co-Founder, said, "In a world of cookie-cutter funds and paper-mache conviction, Inspired stands out as a truly one-of-a-kind platform. The thing that is impossible to replicate is the care, passion, and support that they have for their founders. Starting a company is so unbelievably hard, you put your heart and soul into every waking moment, and you want a partner to be there for you in the exact same way, and to know that no matter how things get, they will fight for you and for every inch. It's impossible to describe the differentiating moments, those times where things sit on a thread, it is exactly there that Inspired shines. I unreservedly strongly recommend that every founder should speak with them."
