Institute for Supply Management® to offer subscription access to historical and recent ISM Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing Report on Business® starting March 1
TEMPE, Ariz., Feb. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Institute for Supply Management® (ISM) will begin offering unlimited 12-month access to its ISM Manufacturing Report On Business®, and ISM Non-Manufacturing Report On Business® historical data for a fee on March 1, 2014.
The ISM Report On Business® is considered by many economists to be the most reliable near-term economic barometer available. It is reviewed regularly by top government agencies and economic and business leaders for its timely, accurate information. The Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing ISM Report On Business® is published monthly by Institute for Supply Management®, the first supply institute in the world.
The new subscription-based information will give media members, business professionals, investors, governmental agencies and other interested parties access to Report on Business® information dating back to as far as 1948. Subscribers will gain access to data using an online login and password.
It is necessary to charge for access to this historical Report on Business® information because of the increased staff, data and technological costs to ISM to maintain and manage, said ISM CEO Tom Derry. The reports will continue to provide individuals and organizations with a unique perspective of purchasing matters in the manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors.
ISM plans to reinvest the subscription revenue into the development of new products and services to further improve the amount of data available through the reports.

Annual access is expected to cost $2,500. Anyone wishing to access the three most recent months of information from ISM Report On Business® will still have free access until March 1st.
Each month, both reports are compiled from responses to questions asked of purchasing and supply executives across the country. The reports reflect change, if any, in the current month compared to previous months. ISM has a long history of collecting viable and interesting information that accurately measures procurement and supply chain activity in a timely manner.
