Institutional Investment Pros have Strong Equities Focus in April According to New eVestment Screening Data

ATLANTA, May 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The majority of the most popular investment strategies and universes viewed in April by institutional investment professionals using eVestment were equity focused, both on a global basis and in key break-out geographic regions, according to eVestment's just-released Advantage Investment Viewership Report for April 2017. Eleven new products, all equity-focused, entered the global top 20 list in April.

The Advantage Investment Viewership Report, generated through the eVestment Advantage solution, is based on tracking daily eVestment user reviews of investment universes and products on eVestment. The report looks at Global, United States, United Kingdom, Europe ex-UK, Asia-Pacific and Canada profile viewership activity among the investors, consultants and other investment professionals who use eVestment.

A few other interesting points from the report include:

eVestment users in the United Kingdom, Europe ex-UK and APAC had a strong interest in globally focused products in April, with the majority of top strategies viewed and biggest movers having global focus.
eVestment users in the United States and Canada displayed some home-country bias in April, with just under half of the top viewed products by Canada-based and USA-based clients geographically focused on Canada and USA, respectively.
Among U.S. eVestment users, there was quite a reshuffling of the top viewed products compared to March. Only two of March's top 20 made it to April's top 20. April's top 4 were all new products: ArrowMark Partners, ArrowMark Small Cap Growth; WCM Investment Management, Focused Growth International; Edgewood Management LLC, Large Cap Growth; and Silchester International Investors LLP, International Value Equity.
