InTech Aerospace Achieves AS-9110 Quality Certification

HOUSTON, Feb. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- InTech Aerospace LLC, a steadily growing aviation technical services firm specialized in commercial and government airplane interiors and components, achieved full certification to AS-9110 aerospace quality standards in February 2016. The AS-9110 aerospace standard is based on AS9100 and the fundamental principles of ISO-9000 and other quality management doctrines, but adds specific requirements that are critical for the maintenance of commercial, private, and military aircraft. This standard includes additional criteria for maintenance repair and overhaul facilities (MRO's) serving the aircraft industry. Areas of emphasis in the standard include detecting and preventing counterfeit and suspect unapproved parts, human factors (recognizing human factors that affect workers), safety management systems, technical data, project management and risk management. Further, AS-9110 aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the management system, including processes for continual improvement and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
