International Franchise Johnny Rockets Celebrates Further Expansion Into Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula
Galerias Merida Location Marks 20th Restaurant Opening in Mexico over Last Two Decades
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., April 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Just two months after Johnny Rockets opened at Merida International Airport, the rapidly expanding international franchise is proud to announce its second restaurant in the bustling capital city. The Galerias Merida opening furthers the brand's reach into Mexico, a country with one of the world's most rapidly expanding economies.
The 1,798-square-foot location is situated in the heart of Galerias Merida, an upscale two-story shopping mall located less than 20 minutes from the city's international airport. Johnny Rockets is the latest addition to the mall's roster of more than 75 retailers and restaurants. The location provides shoppers with a relaxed setting to enjoy the global franchise's customizable hamburgers, crispy American fries, hand-spun shakes and signature sandwiches – all made in front of your eyes.
Johnny Rockets Guadalajara Group brought Johnny Rockets to the mall after seeing a growing need for further expansion in the largest city of the Yucatan Peninsula. With a population of nearly one million, Merida also serves as the cultural and financial epicenter of Yucatan, drawing a steady flow of visitors throughout the year. Galerias Merida is the fourth Johnny Rockets location for Johnny Rockets Guadalajara Group who also operate three franchises in the Mexican state of Jalisco.
