• The OECD is re-evaluating the taxation of business restructuring transactions and the taxation of intangibles (including transactions in the cloud) and also revisiting fundamental transfer pricing principles.
• At the same time, non-OECD countries (such as the BRICS) are working to protect their revenue base with new tax and transfer pricing principles that are not always consistent with those of the OECD. This lack of uniformity amongst countries will create more opportunities for tax audit conflicts as well as double taxation.
