Invent and SEIA Partner to Build the Data Foundation Powering "SEIA Brain" and Advancing the Firm's AI Strategy

Through the collaboration, SEIA has consolidated data from multiple custodians, business lines and technology platforms into a single, governed data foundation. The new environment has improved the firm's reporting capabilities, reduced its reliance on legacy software and freed technical resources to focus on higher-value initiatives.

The unified data environment created by Invent's platform provides the data foundation that powers "SEIA Brain," the firm's proprietary AI framework supporting its broader AI strategy. SEIA Brain is being developed to help employees across marketing, sales, finance, operations and compliance securely access information, automate routine workflows and uncover insights using natural-language interactions.

Addressing a Common Wealth Management Data Challenge

Like many large and growing wealth management organizations, SEIA manages data across multiple custodians, its advisory and broker-dealer businesses, and its in-house turnkey asset management platform, while supporting multiple advisor affiliation models. Information from those sources arrived in different formats and at different intervals, requiring significant manual work to clean, reconcile and prepare for reporting.

Some reporting periods contained incomplete information, while inconsistent delivery schedules made it difficult to create a timely and comprehensive view of the business.

Previously, SEIA manually ingested custodial data and routed it through its CRM and third-party reporting environment. The process lacked standardized connectors and a systematic data-cleansing structure, placing additional demands on the firm's technology team.

Working together, SEIA and Invent created a governed data lake that consolidates information from its custodial relationships and business lines into a single source of truth. The platform progressively validates, standardizes and enriches the data before it is made available for reporting, analytics and future AI applications.

For example, an employee could ask whether a proposed outside business activity requires compliance approval and receive an immediate response based on the firm's policies, or request that a business report be generated and distributed automatically at a specified interval.

Over time, the "SEIA Brain" is expected to become a common and trusted intelligence layer across the organization, helping employees surface relevant information, automate routine workflows and interact with firm data through natural-language and eventually voice-based interfaces.
