Investors can now use Public's Generated Assets interface to turn any idea or theme into an investable asset
NEW YORK, May 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Public, the long-term investing platform, announced the launch of Generated Assets, enabling anyone to create an investable equity index with the assistance of artificial intelligence (AI). With a single prompt, investors can describe an idea, which the Generated Assets AI platform immediately turns into an index, benchmarked against the historical performance of the S&P 500. At launch, investors can use Generated Assets to create, fine-tune, and track their index, with the ability to invest coming soon to the Public platform.
Sample Generated Assets prompts could be, for example, "companies that have flat org charts," or "CEOs that are under 40," or "stocks that are unaffected by U.S. tariffs." For each prompt, AI will look through a wide array of data, including company filings and other publicly available information, to create a personalized index of underlying stocks that fit the criteria. The index is backtested against historical market returns, allowing investors to easily determine if the index would have performed well in the past. Users will be able to invest in the index on Public or share it via the Generated Assets leaderboard.
