The survey was conducted online, by Acupoll Precision Research, with more than 3,000 respondents in early May providing significant insights into tattooed mothers and parental views on tattoos:

• More than half of mothers (51%) with tattoo regret would choose to remove a bad tattoo over a similarly priced piece of jewelry
• 1-in-5 (21%) mothers have regret about their tattoos and 22% have felt the need to cover or hide them
• 30% of all mothers with tattoos are interested in receiving tattoo removal as a gift – a number that rises to nearly 75% when surveying mothers who have experienced tattoo regret
• 40% of all parents would discourage their child from getting a tattoo
