(ISC)² Announces Call for Nominations for Information Security Leadership Awards - Asia-Pacific 2019

HONG KONG, Feb. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- (ISC)² – the world's largest nonprofit membership association of certified cybersecurity professionals – today announced the opening of the nomination period for its Information Security Leadership Awards (ISLA) – Asia Pacific. The 13^th annual ISLA Asia-Pacific awards ceremony will be held on July 10, 2019 in conjunction with the (ISC)² Secure Summit APAC at the Conrad Hong Kong Hotel.

Since 2007, ISLA Asia-Pacific has recognized cyber, information, software and infrastructure security professionals, educators and management throughout the Asia-Pacific region for their outstanding leadership and achievements in workforce improvement and promoting public awareness of the challenges of cybersecurity.

"As we face a skills shortage of more than two million professionals in our region alone, there's no better time to recognize the outstanding work being done by our existing cybersecurity community on behalf of Asia-Pacific's public and private organizations to secure critical infrastructure and digital assets," said Clayton Jones, managing director, Asia-Pacific, (ISC)². The Nomination Review Committee, comprised of senior cybersecurity experts from the (ISC)² Asia-Pacific Advisory Council, as well as previous ISLA Asia-Pacific honorees, will review and select honorees from four categories based upon the selection criteria and eligibility requirements.
