(ISC)2 To Provide Training at Wall Street Journal Pro Cybersecurity Small Business Academy

CLEARWATER, Fla., Sept. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- (ISC)² – the world's largest nonprofit association of certified cybersecurity professionals – today announced its participation in the inaugural WSJ Pro's Cybersecurity Small Business Academy, held at the Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California, from October 15-16, 2018. (ISC)² will provide training on the second day of the Academy, which aims to address a shortfall in practical information for small and medium-sized businesses on how to strengthen their cybersecurity programs.

The Academy's first day consists of discussions, interviews and "Pro Perspectives" that identify the main cybersecurity problems and solutions for small businesses. The second day of training from partner companies will equip attendees with the skills to tackle the problems identified on the first day.

The (ISC)² track on October 16 will provide training on the following topics:

• Staying informed about the current threats and business impact of cybersecurity risk to organizations
• Building a risk management plan to address identified risks
• Complying with industry standards, regulation and best practices
• Incident detection, response and communications
• Cybersecurity incident response plans
• Implementation, including war stories, challenges and potential solutions
