Isilon Strengthens Asia Pacific Operations With Appointment of New Sales Leader

SEATTLE, April 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Isilon® Systems (Nasdaq: ISLN) today announced the appointment of a new sales leader in Asia Pacific as the company continues its expansion in the region.   Isilon appointed former Data Domain and NetApp executive Chee Keong (C.K.) Chan as vice president of sales in APAC, reporting directly to George Bennett, senior vice president of worldwide field operations. Prior to joining Isilon, Mr. Chan most recently served as Data Domain's Senior Director for its Asia Pacific operations. Prior to Data Domain, Chan served as NetApp's Managing Director and General Manager for South Asia, where he grew revenue from less than $6 million in 2002, to more than $60 million in 2006.

Mr. Chan served as Data Domain's Senior Director for Asia Pacific from 2007 to 2009, where he was responsible for growing revenue from nearly zero to more than $10 million and managed all aspects of the company's sales operations in the region, including direct and channel operations, professional services and systems engineering. Prior to 2007, Mr. Chan served as NetApp's Managing Director and General Manager for South Asia from 2002 until 2006.
