ISLAND PACIFIC OPENS 22ND SUPERMARKET IN NORTHEAST LOS ANGELES

New Eagle Rock Boulevard location celebrates Filipino heritage, affordable groceries, and community connections.

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Island Pacific Seafood Market is celebrating the opening of its 22nd supermarket at 4044 N. Eagle Rock Boulevard in Glassell Park, bringing authentic Filipino groceries, fresh seafood, meats, produce, and specialty foods closer to families throughout Northeast Los Angeles.

Following its October 30 soft opening, the supermarket will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

The opening follows Filipino American History Month, honoring the generations of Filipino Americans who have helped shape communities across the country. With deep Filipino-American roots in Northeast Los Angeles, the new location reflects Island Pacific's continued investment in neighborhoods where food, family, and cultural traditions bring people together.

"Every new Island Pacific represents an investment in the community we serve," said Maite Defensor, Chief Executive Officer of Island Pacific Supermarket. "We want families to have convenient access to quality groceries at affordable prices while creating a welcoming place where neighbors of all backgrounds can discover and enjoy Filipino food and culture."

The opening also highlights IPASA NATIN ("Pass It On"), Island Pacific's campaign celebrating the Filipino tradition of sharing food, stories, and cultural heritage across generations.

"For Filipino families in Eagle Rock and Glassell Park, the familiar taste of home is now just down the street," said Giselle Tongi-Walters, Marketing and Community Partnerships Director. "When families can afford to keep their favorite dishes on the table, they also keep their traditions alive. That's the heart of IPASA NATIN—passing on the flavors, memories, and stories that connect us."

Island Pacific welcomes the community to celebrate its grand opening on November 5 at 4044 N. Eagle Rock Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA. For event updates and promotions, follow @IslandPacificMarket or visit www.islandpacificmarket.com.
