Israeli Government Selects EMC as Enterprise Content Management Platform Standard

HERZELIYA, Israel, Dec. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC) today announced that the Israeli government has selected the EMC Documentum Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform as the standard for all ministries and offices. EMC and its partner, NessPRO (Ness Technologies' software product distribution group), won the project which was led by Israel's Ministry of Finance and the government's central purchasing office. The project is considered to be one of the most strategic cross government tenders issued by the government in Israel in recent years.

The Documentum system is core to the government's long-term strategy for a unified infrastructure to serve the diverse document management and archiving requirements across the government's ministries.  

Documentum will be deployed both on-premise and as a cloud service for each ministry to consume content services with comprehensive data integrity and security. The system will be used to unify, simplify and accelerate the day-to-day work of managing internal and external information, expedite operational tasks and automate the flow of work through the government.
