Istation Improves Progress Monitoring with Launch of Lexile Student Measures

DALLAS, Feb. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In January Istation improved its computer-adaptive reading assessment with the addition of enhanced scoring metrics correlated with the widely adopted Lexile^® Framework for Reading.

This past fall, Istation partnered with MetaMetrics^®, developer of the Lexile Framework for Reading, to link the Lexile scale with student comprehension scores from ISIP™ (Istation's Indicators of Progress) for students in grades 1 through 8. Students now receive a Lexile student measure every time they take the ISIP comprehension subtest.  The added use of Lexile measures in assessments enhances Istation's ability to provide an effective metric for matching readers to texts.
