Jackery Kickstarter Campaign Reaches $30k Goal to Begin Production of the Jackery Air Thin Profile Rechargeable Battery for Mobile Devices

SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Jackery, a provider of premium rechargeable battery products for mobile devices, announced today its Kickstarter campaign launched on June 6^th, 2013 surpassed its $30,000 fundraising goal.  The funding period for the Jackery Air Kickstarter campaign ends on July 12^th at 11:59 PT.

The campaign was created to enable the company to put into production the Jackery Air product, an ultra-thin design and high-capacity battery cell which both require a customized and costly manufacturing setup. Jackery is using the Kickstarter funds to initiate the large-scale manufacture of its final Jackery Air prototype.  

The Jackery Air is the world's thinnest portable rechargeable battery for mobile devices. It is similar in size to the leading smartphones and provides users with up to five days of extra operational time.  It features Jackery's power lock technology which enables the product to retain its charging capabilities for up to six months when not in use. A multi-platform capable charger, the Jackery Air can charge iOS, Android and Windows phone devices as well as tablets, multiple gaming devices and MP3 players. Two versions of the product will be produced including a 2800mAh version and a 5000mAh version. Both measure 4.9 x 4.0 inches in size, are only .3 inches in thickness and weigh 5.5 ounces or less.
