Jade Software completes installations of Master Terminal in record time
Successfully implementing three of seven all-new terminal operating systems for Abu Dhabi Ports
CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand, Oct. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Jade Software announces that Master Terminal is now live at three of seven planned installations for Abu Dhabi Ports, as part of the contract awarded to replace its legacy system with Jade's terminal operating system.
The recent implementation at Musaffah Port is the third port to go live with the new technology. Zayed Port went live first on the 1st of July after a six month implementation phase, a record for a general cargo terminal the size of Zayed Port. The configuration and training delivered at Zayed Port laid the foundation for the speedy delivery of the next two projects, with Khalifa Port going live on 1st August and Musaffah Port following soon after on 16th September.
These impressive results build strong momentum for the successful delivery of additional business operations at Khalifa Port later in 2015 and the remaining four terminals, expected to be completed in 2016.
"Jade is fast being recognised as the leading terminal operating system for mixed cargo ports where increased operational efficiencies are key, helped greatly by its proven implementation methodology and expert implementation team," says David Lindsay, Managing Director, Jade Software.
"Jade has also invested heavily in additional implementation and business support around the globe to cope with the increased demand for Master Terminal."
For Abu Dhabi Ports, Jade's implementation team worked closely with staff from the beginning to ensure that the new processes and technology were seamlessly integrated into their business and all staff were expertly trained.
This approach further supports the choice of Master Terminal for ports wanting the latest technology implemented with minimal disruption to their business, says Mark Ginnever, Director of Global Services, Jade Logistics.
"We quickly formed a strong partnership and sense of purpose with the internal Abu Dhabi Ports project team which enabled the speedy delivery. In addition the clear project scope based on the inherent functionality in Master Terminal allowed for rapid configuration and training without the need to wait for customisation.
"Jade's implementation team will continue to work closely with Abu Dhabi Ports to ensure that the operational efficiencies and improvements the new technology offers bring real benefits, and allows Abu Dhabi Ports to realise its business goals quickly.
"Already Abu Dhabi Ports has seen tangible benefits from the new technology as it drives efficiencies that can then be passed on to its customers. Once all seven ports are live with Master Terminal there will be a significant improvement for the business."
