James Walker Finishes First at 2011 Supreme West Coast Wakesurf Open
STOCKTON, Calif., May 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- James Walker, team rider for the newly formed FlyBoy Division of Inland Surfer, followed up his 2010 World Wakesurf Championship in the Men's Open Surf division with a first-place finish at the 2011 Supreme West Coast Wakesurf Open last weekend (http://flyboywakesurf.com/james-walker-wins-mens-open-surf).
Along with being backed by the FlyBoy Division of Inland Surfer, Walker was also sponsored by California Marine Sports, Supreme Boats, Hydro-Turf, Exile Audio, Liquid Trends and Fly-Hi. On May 20-22, 2011 at Camp Far West Lake, he battled it out against Chase Hazen, Kris Kinsey, Brian Baker, Alec Wood and Keenan Fleegal before heading home with the win.
"It took a lot of hard work to get to this point, and I was fortunate to be riding my signature model FlyBoy wakesurf board," Walker stated. "It's a remarkably maneuverable board with unparalleled drive. The Twinzer Fin Pod design gives it effortless speed and spinning capabilities without sacrificing aerial abilities, which was crucial in last weekend's competition."
Wakesurfers worldwide will soon be able to see for themselves how Walker's board performs. The new 2011 James Walker Pro Model from the FlyBoy Division of Inland Surfer is available for pre-order from Inland Surfer, California Marine Sports and Towanza.com.
"I want to thank all the sponsors of the 2011 Supreme West Coast Wakesurf Open, particularly Supreme Boats and their beautiful V226; Cal Marine Sports for getting all the details hammered out; and Inland Surfer for making my FlyBoy Division board," said Walker. "The event was a huge success and everyone involved with it deserves recognition."
