BOSTON, March 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Empathetics, Inc, an empathy-training firm founded by Dr. Helen Riess - recognized for her research in the neuroscience of empathy, announced today that Janeen McCormick has joined as Director of Business Development at the firm's office in Boston, MA.
Ms. Janeen McCormick has 20 years of experience working primarily in sales, market development and marketing roles for pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Her experience is diverse and spans large corporations, such as Johnson and Johnson, to small startup companies. In Ms. McCormick's most recent role, she was charged with leading sales and marketing for a software startup's biopharma division. Prior to her role with the start-up, Ms. McCormick developed a specialty cardiology market for the launch of a left ventricular assist device to treat patients. Similar to the startup environment, she wore many hats in this role, worked with cross functional teams, and partnered with other companies.
