DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, June 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Janus Global Operations (JGO), an international stability operations company, has added ISO 18788:2015 certification - a worldwide standard for security contractors and organizations - to JGO's quality management system.
ISO 18788:2015 sets a global business and risk management framework for security contractors or organizations to operate professionally, effectively, and safely.
As described on ISO's website, ISO is "an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 161 national standards bodies," (http://www.iso.org/iso/home/about.htm).
The ISO 18788:2015 certification follows JGO's achievement of becoming the first U.S. company to receive global scope with its attainment of the ANSI/ASIS PSC.1 certification in 2015. PSC.1 is a separate international standard for private security company quality management systems.
"Commercial and government clients in difficult and dangerous environments want and deserve assurance that a company providing security and risk management services adheres to the highest international standards," said Alan Weakley, JGO president and COO. "We created JGO's management system to provide clients with that assurance."
JGO's Quality, Environmental, Safety and Security (QESS) management system conforms to the requirements of International Standards (ISO) 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, British Standard Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001:2007, ANSI/ASIS PSC.1-2012 and now the ISO 18788:2015 certification.
"Commercial and governmental organizations can review our QESS system and procedures and immediately see that regardless of the situation, environment, or complexity of the challenges they face, JGO has the solution to do what is needed under the highest standards," Weakley said. "It demonstrates JGO's compliance to their needs, those of other stakeholders, accountability to applicable laws, and respect for human rights."
JGO is an integrated international stability operations company with more than 7,000 employees serving clients in North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Janus' services include munitions response; demining; intelligence support; logistics; life support; risk management; communications; and other services in some of the world's most challenging and hostile environments.
