To mark the anniversary, J.Crew took the Barn Jacket™ on the road, photographing 160 people across New York City, Los Angeles, Austin, Boston and Chicago. The sweeping cast brings together open-cast discoveries, local legends, athletes, artists, musicians, designers, cultural tastemakers and some of the most recognizable faces in culture. Different cities, generations and points of view, all connected by one jacket and all wearing it entirely their own way.

Shot by Robert Nethery in a direct, intimate portrait style, the campaign is at once a sweeping casting project, a cultural snapshot and a love letter to personal style. No two portraits, and no two Barn Jackets, feel the same.
Collective films bring the full cast into conversation, exploring personal style, the distinct character of each city and why the Barn Jacket™ continues to resonate across wardrobes and generations. Together, 160 individual stories create an expansive portrait of a J.Crew icon in motion: idiosyncratic, expressive, unexpected and never confined to one kind of person or one way of wearing it.
The campaign marks the next chapter in J.Crew's ongoing celebration of its most recognizable styles.
