Mr. Wells brings over 25 years providing cybersecurity guidance and insights to multi-national corporations and governments. In this capacity Mr. Wells has led cyber initiatives around the world and has extensive experience with U.S. government sponsored cybersecurity advisory and trade missions. Mr. Wells' leadership around the globe has led to his involvement in such prestigious, invitation-only events as the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and the Forbes Global CEO Conference.
Prior to becoming a Partner at InnoVacient, Jeffrey was appointed by two Governors to serve as Maryland's Executive Director of Cyber Development where he aligned commercial, federal and military cybersecurity initiatives to drive business development through partnerships between the business community, NIST, NSA and U.S. Cyber Command. Mr. Wells also serves as the vice-president of the Maryland Cybersecurity Roundtable, a founding partner of the NIST - National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence and The BENS Cyber & Tech Council.
A veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, Mr. Wells has founded several non-profits including the Connected Warrior Foundation, the mission of which is to improve the quality of life and reduce suicide rates within the veteran community. Mr. Wells continues to be an active lobbyist and leader for the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America to prevent veteran suicide. In addition, Mr. Wells has also advised and consulted with new cyber startups as well as venture, private equity and angel investment organizations on cybersecurity related strategies.
Mr. Wells is an alumnus of Colorado State University, Harvard Kennedy School, MIT, Oxford and Cambridge, receiving a Masters of Public Administration and History along with certifications in Data Science, Social Entrepreneurship and International Business.
