Jive Strengthens Executive Team with New Appointments

PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Jive Software announced two executive appointments. Patrick Lin joined Jive as Senior Vice President of Product Management.  Christopher Morace, previously Senior Vice President of Products at Jive, will transition into a new role as Senior Vice President of Business Development.

In his new role, Lin will lead the product management team and will be responsible for all future product roadmap developments.  

Morace will lead Jive's partner ecosystem strategy, including technology partnerships, strategic alliances and the Jive Apps Market. He will also manage the team responsible for Jive's product marketing initiatives.

Both Lin and Morace are based out of Jive's Palo Alto office and report into Tony Zingale.

Patrick Lin Background

Patrick Lin comes to Jive from VMware, where he was Vice President of Product Management, leading the product management and technical marketing teams responsible for delivering the vSphere virtualization platform and a wide range of infrastructure and cloud management platforms.  Prior to VMware, Lin was responsible for product management and marketing at Invio Software, a storage workflow automation vendor acquired by VERITAS Software.  

Lin has also held product management, business development and strategy consulting roles at Intuit, Microsoft WebTV, and Bain & Company.  In addition to an MBA from INSEAD, Lin holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and a BA in East Asian Studies from Stanford University.

Christopher Morace Background

Christopher Morace joined Jive Software in October 2007 and led Jive's product strategy and delivery for over three years. Under his direction the company became the industry-recognized leader in Social Business Software. He has a 15-year track record for building high-growth, high-value businesses in the technology sector.

Prior to joining Jive, Morace held executive positions including Vice President of Research & Development at Mercury Interactive, the global leader in business technology innovation, which was acquired by Hewlett Packard. He also served as Vice President of Product Development at Kintana, an IT governance software company, which was acquired by Mercury Interactive. Morace was also a founder and executive of Sindhara and Awaken, innovators in the digital media space.
