Over the past three years, Joan has served as a valued member of the Firm's Advisory Board, making many contributions as a member of its Leadership Committee. Prior to joining The Siegfried Group, Joan spent nearly twenty years at The Sheridan Group. Sheridan is one of the largest print and publishing service providers in its industry. Since 2007, Joan held the position of Group President, where she was responsible for, among other things, providing strategic leadership for Business Development, Marketing and Technology for all of the Sheridan Group companies: The Sheridan Press, Dartmouth Printing Company, Dartmouth Journal Services, and Sheridan Books. Joan joined Sheridan in October 1995 as a Finance Manager and was quickly promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of The Sheridan Press in November 1996. Prior to Sheridan, Joan worked at Noxell Corporation/Procter & Gamble (P&G) where she held positions of increasing responsibility in Marketing and Finance. Joan has a BA from Notre Dame of Maryland University and a MBA from Loyola University Maryland.
"I am flattered and very excited to be joining Siegfried as its new President. Rob's leadership approach and visionary direction is very inspirational to all of us. One of my challenges will be prioritizing the creative ideas Rob brings forward, while also helping us continue to improve our execution. In working closely with Rob, the Advisory Board, the Executive Team and others, I have been very impressed with the Siegfried people, as well as the Firm's powerful strategy and approach. It is no wonder the Firm is providing increasing value to its distinguished clients and high caliber professionals," says Joan.
Rob emphasized, "Adding Joan is a major move for our Firm, as she will help us synergistically improve both our Leadership and Execution. This will free me to work with our Executive Team to better focus on two key CEO responsibilities: (1) crystalizing the Firm's Strategic Direction and Higher Purpose; while (2) developing our people. Needless to say, all of this will allow us to take our Firm to a higher level." Additionally, Rob clarified, "the Firm helps individuals find the passionate energy needed to develop stronger character ethic and improved individual Leadership, which then allows them to better pursue an improved Life as they define it...full of exponential growth, abundance and more freedom!"
Summarizing his enthusiasm surrounding Joan and her new role, Rob stated, "Above all, Joan is exceptionally bright, personable, principled and caring – which is a perfect fit for our unique culture."
