John Hancock Retirement Plan Services Earns IFCA Award of Excellence for My Best Next Step
BOSTON, Oct. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- John Hancock Retirement Plan Services has earned an Award of Excellence from the Insurance & Financial Communicators Association (IFCA) for its My Best Next Step participant engagement initiative.

My Best Next Step provides targeted online messaging that directs participants on the best next step in their retirement planning. It uses a complex set of algorithms that are participant and plan smart in order to select the appropriate action and messaging.
The company also earned a pair of Honorable Mentions for:
- A newly redesigned participant website, and
- John Hancock Plan Review, a detailed report that outlines key plan metrics for plan sponsors and their advisors.
There were a total of 479 entries in the IFCA Annual Awards competition, now in its 84th year. The annual awards competition offers communicators internationally the opportunity to submit their best work in more than 60 categories. The judging is done by peers, and each entrant receives feedback and comments from the judges.
"This year's field of entries was incredibly strong, so the projects that earned recognition truly are the cream of the crop," said Margot Carmichael Lester, IFCA's director of awards and recognition, who has also served as a judge for the competition for four years.
