Dean Dutta Examines the Drivers of Innovation and Entrepreneurship
ITHACA, N.Y., Nov. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Soumitra Dutta, Dean of the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University recently served as keynote speaker of The Fifth International Business School Shanghai Conference (IBSSC) at the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China.
Addressing more than two hundred business school leaders from around the world, Dean Dutta's keynote examines students' drivers of entrepreneurship. As Dean Dutta explains, many of today's graduates are now becoming entrepreneurs not out of economic desperation as in years past, but because they are inspired and motivated to innovate.
Dean Dutta challenges business school leaders to examine their driving factors for providing students with the high-quality education and experiences so the next generation is properly equipped for entrepreneurship. Dutta also discusses the obstacles industries face to spur innovation and provides tips to business leaders for effectively encouraging recent graduates to serve as entrepreneurial ambassadors within their organizations.
IBSSC, a biennial conference, convenes more than two hundred deans from business schools around the world to exchange ideas on cutting-edge topics in the field of management education.
