SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis., May 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnsonville Sausage today announced the launch of its brand-new summer grilling contest, "Hot Story of the Week." Through this unique online contest, consumers are invited to throw their "grilling tales," photos and videos on Johnsonville's grill, for a chance to win a number of different weekly prizes.
"At Johnsonville, we know cookouts and grilling provide some of the best summer memories," said Jim Mueller, Johnsonville marketing group manager. "Whether it's a fond memory, or one they'd rather forget but have permanently seared in their mind, we want to hear about our fans' grilling adventures!"
Beginning now and running through Aug. 15, 2011, the contest will feature a new grilling-related question each week. Weekly contest questions will explore topics like grilling in movies, family reunions, road trips and celebrating America.
Throughout the 13 weeks, all are invited to share their sizzling summer stories and great grilling memories. Mueller added consumers are encouraged to include photos and videos to help share their cookout chronicles for a chance to win weekly prizes.
People can enter as many times as they'd like each week, and all are encouraged to enter every week. Weekly winners will be selected based on content pertaining to the weekly question and originality. Prizes will vary each week. A few weekly prize examples include a charcoal grill, Visa gift card, beach party kit, BBQ basket and more. An additional, separate prize will be awarded each week for the most popular entry, as judged by unique page views.
The grand prize winner will be selected via online voting by the public, which will take place from Aug. 25 –Sept. 7, 2011. The "Hot Story of the Week" grand prize winner will receive a year's supply of Johnsonville Brats, a gas grill and $5,000 in cash.
