Journey Guitarist, Neal Schon Suited Up And Took The Track With Longtime Hero, Racing Legend Mario Andretti

LOS ANGELES, June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Last week at the Indy 500, Michaele Schon gave her husband the ultimate birthday gift. Her husband is Neal Schon, the legendary guitarist and songwriter of multi-platinum juggernaut Journey.  The former Real Housewives star initiated a meeting between Neal and his long time hero, legendary racecar driver Mario Andretti.  Andretti took the rock superstar for a ride in his Honda "fastest seat in sports" racer!

The Schon's, both Neal and wife Michaele, gave the customary thumbs up as each got to round the track with the legendary racer in his infamous car.  This is yet another milestone event shared by the inseparable rock couple.

Neal has been busy recording with Rock n Roll Hall of Famer Carlos Santana, as well as prepping his new solo album "VORTEX," a two-disc instrumental set that is getting rave reviews from the critics and a record he has dedicated to his wife. "VORTEX" will be out in the UK June 22 and the US June 23.   Neal and Journey will be headlining the Stadium of Fire in Utah, the largest 4th of July celebration in America.   But for the Schon's, taking the ride of a lifetime with Mario Andretti will be a highlight of their life's journey.
