JTV® FY17 Strong Sales Outstrip Retail Industry

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- JTV (Jewelry Television^®) closed its fiscal 2017 with year-over-year sales growth significantly ahead of the overall retail industry and with continued revenue gains in the June quarter compared to falling sales among sector peers.  Mobile commerce demonstrated explosive growth as JTV continued to channel technology for audience engagement to remain the leading omni-digital retailer dedicated to the jewelry and gemstones industry.

For the 12 months ending June 30, JTV reported revenue was up 7.6% from the year before. By contrast, the National Retail Federation expects overall retail sales to grow this year between 3.7% and 4.2%.  In the fourth quarter of FY17, JTV posted sales growth of 5.1% year-over-year while its closest home-shopping peers saw revenues fall around 4% from the same quarter a year previously.

JTV's ongoing strategic investment in market-leading engagement helped drive even stronger growth in mobile commerce. For fiscal 2017, mobile sales increased 27.8% and visits were up 28.9% year-over-year.
