KANSAS CITY, Mo., Jan. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Schloegel Design Remodel (SDR), a Kansas City based home remodeling business, is proud to announce that Charlie Schloegel, CR, UDCP (team member since 2006) and Chris Peterson, CR, CRL, MCR (team member since 1996) have transitioned to the ownership team of the firm.

In this move, Schloegel Design Remodel is accomplishing one of the hallmark traits of successful ventures by passing the role of ownership to two long-time team members.

The firm, founded in 1980 by Jake Schloegel, CR, has a long history of growth and award-winning design and remodel projects, but perhaps our most significant accolades have come from within our industry.

Under Jake Schloegel's leadership, the organization was awarded the 2017 National Association of the Remodeling Industry's (NARI) Peter H. Johnson Image Award, and Jake Schloegel received the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award from NARI for his contributions to the industry as a whole.

The change in ownership responsibilities in the 50-member firm is the natural progression of a business built on leadership principles designed to develop every member of the team.

An indication of the success of this leadership approach is found in the long-term tenure of many of the firm's employees in an industry often plagued by high turnover.
