Karen Williams to Serve as Schneider Publishing's Director of Industry Relations

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Karen Williams, who retired on July 31 after nearly 23 years with the Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau, will be working as the Director of Industry Relations for Los Angeles-based Schneider Publishing Company. In her new role, Williams will help guide the industry outreach and business development efforts of Schneider Publishing, whose brands include Association News and SportsTravel magazines and the TEAMS Conference & Expo.

Williams is a past board member of Meeting Professionals International and Destination Marketing Association International. She served as the chairperson of the Destination & Travel Foundation, the 501(c)3 affiliate of DMAI and the U.S. Travel Association.

In addition to her projects for Schneider Publishing, Williams plans to share her expertise in destination marketing and meeting planning through the new consulting firm she has launched called KWG Inspired.
