Karmanos Cancer Institute's 20th Annual Partners Events honor Danialle and Peter Karmanos, Jr.

DETROIT, July 1, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Join the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute as it celebrates its 20th Annual Partners Events, a signature two-part fundraiser honoring outstanding philanthropists who support Karmanos' exceptional cancer care and innovative research. This year's honorees are the Institute's largest benefactors - Danialle and Peter Karmanos, Jr.

The Partners Golf Classic will take place Monday, Sept. 9, at Franklin Hills Country Club. The Partners Night, a strolling dinner with a special guest comedian, will take place Saturday, Oct. 5, at The Fillmore Detroit. 

Since Partners' inception, the group has raised nearly $13 million through the Partners Events to support the Karmanos Cancer Institute's exceptional state-of-the science research. This year's Partners Events will help support the additional recruitment of highly-accomplished cancer scientists, complementing the exceptional cancer research already underway at Karmanos.
