Keiser University Celebrates the Grand Opening of Their Latin American Campus in San Marcos, Nicaragua, Announces New Academic Programs
SAN MARCOS, Nicaragua, Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Keiser University (KU) celebrates the grand opening of their Latin American Campus located in San Marcos, Carazo, the 17th member of its worldwide family of campuses. The Latin American Campus currently serves students from Central America, Latin America, the United States and other countries across the globe. The celebration includes a Grand Opening Ceremony and a Gala Cocktail, which began on February 26th and continues today at the Latin American Campus in San Marcos and Intercontinental Hotel in Managua. Yesterday, Keiser University's Chancellor, Dr. Arthur Keiser, and Latin American Campus' President, Mr. Mathew Anderson, thanked and recognized the warm welcome and strong support received from the Nicaraguan community for our Latin American Campus in Nicaragua. Invitees included dignitaries from the public and private sector of Nicaragua, national and international benefactors of the campus, staff, faculty, and students.

Keiser University assumed operation and educational responsibilities for the campus effective July 1, 2013, after entering into a transfer agreement with Ave Maria University.
Since the transition, Keiser University's Latin American Campus has worked to improve the campus infrastructure and information technology. Furthermore, the campus has increased enrollment and expanded its offerings. The Latin American campus officially announced the addition of two new programs their year (Interdisciplinary Studies and Management Information Systems), including the addition of several undergraduate, masters and doctoral online programs, and a hybrid MBA program that will be offered in English and Spanish.
Keiser University reiterated its commitment to honoring the rich educational and spiritual traditions of the campus and plans to continue building on those traditions and generating future opportunities for students, faculty, the city, and the country of Nicaragua.
