Keiser University to Hold Second Annual Statewide Commencement in Orlando
The Honorable Cary Pigman, Florida State House of Representatives, to Serve as Keynote Speaker
ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, Feb. 1, Keiser University will hold its second annual statewide commencement ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of its graduates throughout the state of Florida and those that attend classes online across the nation. The University is pleased to announce that nearly 400 graduates and 2,500 expected guests will be in attendance as the Honorable Cary Pigman, Florida State House of Representatives delivers the commencement address.
The ceremony will take place at the Orange County Convention Center, West Concourse, Chapin Theater located at 9800 International Drive, in Orlando, beginning promptly at 11:00 a.m. State Representative Pigman, an Emergency Medicine Physician with a distinguished military service career represents Glades, Highlands, Okeechobee, and parts of St. Lucie counties.
"The statewide graduation ceremony is undoubtedly the most fulfilling moment for all of us as we share in the celebration of hard work, accomplishment, and commitment of our students, and their families," said Belinda Keiser, Vice Chancellor. In an unprecedented three way tie, Marcia Bygrave of West Melbourne earning her Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing, Christopher Hoffman of Palm Bay earning his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Accounting, and Sinia Espinoza of Cutler Bay earning her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Business Administration, will be named Valedictorians. Florida Hospital and Wuesthoff Hospital will receive Keiser University's annual "Employer of the Year" awards in recognition of their partnerships and hiring of Keiser University graduates in health care and other degree fields.
