KeyCorp CEO Named Most Powerful Woman In Banking By American Banker

CLEVELAND, Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Beth Mooney, the Chairman and CEO of KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY), has been named No. 1 on American Banker's prestigious "The 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking" list, which was released today.

In addition to Mooney's recognition, Maria Coyne, Executive Vice President, Branch Network, was ranked No. 18 on American Banker's "The 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking" list, and Amy Brady, Chief Information Officer of KeyCorp, was ranked No. 15 on the "The 25 Women to Watch" list. All three of KeyCorp's honorees are being recognized for their significant contributions to the organization in the past year. Mooney, who is the first woman to lead a Top 20 U.S. bank, joined KeyCorp in 2006 as the top executive of the bank's 14-state Community Bank. She became CEO in 2011, launching significant and strategic change to position KeyBank for continued growth. Under Mooney's leadership, KeyBank has developed new ways to serve clients, increased revenue and improved efficiency, while driving consistent growth.

Since joining KeyCorp in 2001, Coyne has emerged as a prominent thought leader in consumer and small business banking, with a strong focus on creating opportunities for women as the founder of Key4Women. She is responsible for the sales, service and operation aspects of Key's Consumer and Small Business Retail network, which includes more than 5,000 employees, 1,050 branches and 1,482 ATMs in 14 states.
