Kingman Elks to Start Fishing for Smiles

CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Kingman Elks will provide two all-day fishing expeditions in the Spring and Fall of 2010 for 180 children and 100 veterans in the Kingman area. This program will provide necessary equipment, transportation and instruction.

Fishing for Smiles will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Kingman Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Kingman Elks Lodge No. 468 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
