Smith has become its newest partner, effective January 1, 2019.
Mr. Smith joined KTB&S in September 2015 as an associate when they expanded their corporate practice group. He previously worked at Simpson Thatcher. As a member of the Corporate Practice Group at KTB&S, Smith focuses on transactional matters for clients in a wide range of industries, including retail, media and entertainment, technology, healthcare, food and beverage and energy. Mr. Smith is experienced in M&A transactions and finance and securities law matters. Mr. Smith received his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where he was a member and Business Manager of the UCLA Law Review. He also was a recipient of the Dean's Merit Scholarship and the Florence-Virginia Wilson Scholarship. He received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, where he studied economics.
