Kmart Helps Take Country to Another Dimension with Sponsorship of Kenny Chesney 'Summer in 3D' Movie

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Kenny Chesney is one of the world's hottest music stars, so it's natural he's teaming up with Kmart to bring fans one of the hottest entertainment trends: a 3D movie. The highly anticipated theatrical concert release of "Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D" will, fittingly, premiere in Las Vegas on April 17, the same weekend as the 45th-annual Academy of Country Music Awards. In the Kmart-sponsored national theatrical release, moviegoers will get a unique opportunity to experience an artist who sells out stadiums around the world and has notched 19 No. 1 songs from the front row, the wings, the Goodyear blimp and even onstage.

Shot in 3D over seven nights in six locations, Boston, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Seattle, during his 2009 Sun City Carnival Tour, his latest concert tour. Even though he's taking a year off from his intense touring schedule to – in part – finish this movie and record his next record, "Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D" means fans don't have to miss a summer with the man who brings their lives to life.
