Utilizing the ScanSnap scanners with KnowledgeTree's Hot Folders interface, high-quality images of scanned invoices can be entered into a workflow that leads them through various customizable process steps, turning what was once manual and labor-intensive into a smooth and efficient process. Here's how it works. Once an invoice is loaded into the KnowledgeTree repository via the Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner (or any scanner), it can be entered into a user-customized payment process workflow. This may include routing to one or more approvers, verification and validation against a purchase order and queuing for payment. Once the billing process is completed, the invoice is stored electronically, eliminating the need for file cabinets (and saving lots of trees while you're at it). Because KnowledgeTree is an online service, invoices are accessible from anywhere, providing flexibility for both large and small organizations.
