Knox Launches Department of War DISA Impact Level 5 Environment Landing Zone

Knox Systems now supports customers seeking IL5 accreditation, one of the government's most stringent security environments, that enables software providers to work with the U.S. military.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Knox Systems (Knox), the largest FedRAMP and DISA-managed cloud provider, today announced its Impact Level 5 (IL5) environment, sponsored by the U.S. Space Force.

The new environment provides a secure, mission-ready landing zone for commercial software and AI applications supporting the Department of War's (DoW) most sensitive workloads, including Controlled Unclassified Information and mission-critical National Security Systems.

Purpose-built as a separate, dedicated boundary, the Knox IL5 landing zone will extend its existing FedRAMP High and Impact Level 4 DoW capabilities, which Knox has held since 2019. The platform is designed to meet the elevated security, isolation, and operational requirements necessary to support high-impact defense missions while enabling technology companies to enter the environment faster and without building and operating a standalone government cloud deployment.
