NEW YORK, Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Imprint Plus, a leading manufacturer of customized, re-usable name badge and signage systems, is pleased to announce that Kristin MacMillan, CPA, CA, and formerly the Director of Operations at Imprint Plus, will assume the role of President of Imprint Plus, effective immediately.
Prior to working at Imprint Plus, Ms. MacMillan served as Principal at Ernst & Young for thirteen years and brings with her over 20 years of experience working in operations and finance.
"Financial statements are the language of business," said Ms. MacMillan. "Having a thorough understanding of financial concepts lets you understand what is actually happening in the business and prepare for the disruption, peaks and valleys that often come hand in hand with an entrepreneurial business. Being an entrepreneur and a chartered accountant is a great combination because you can still take all the risks that every entrepreneur takes, but with the knowledge and background that helps you decide which risks are worth taking."
According to Marla Kott, Imprint Plus CEO, "Chartered accountants and accounting professionals undergo rigorous business training in many and varied businesses that hone their critical thinking and analytical skills. For a chartered accountant, the learning never ends, which is precisely why Kristen MacMillan was selected as the newly named President of Imprint Plus."
