LA Fitness® and The Salvation Army Continue Partnership to Provide Holiday Food and Toy Distribution Center in Renton

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 12, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- LA Fitness and The Salvation Army have joined forces again to bring holiday cheer to those who may need it the most. With help from the Renton community, The Salvation Army is currently collecting food and toys for those in need. LA Fitness is providing a location that will be used to distribute the community's gifts to low income families.

Donated items will be distributed on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 485 Renton Center Way in Renton from 8:30 am to 5 pm. The Salvation Army staff is hoping to help over 1,200 families that day and has set a goal of assisting 90 families every 30 minutes. Families must pre-register in order to receive assistance on the 21st.  (Details can be found online or at The Salvation Army offices in Renton). Those wishing to make donations are encouraged to visit their local Salvation Army office.

"The facility is 24,000 square feet, provides ample parking and is easily accessible to bus routes, making it easy for families in need to access this distribution center. With the need greater than ever, we appreciate LA Fitness' commitment to continue this program so that more children and seniors living in poverty can experience the joy that one small Christmas gift can bring."
